Maddington, a suburb within the City of Gosnells, contains major residential, retail and industrial sectors, along with some semi-rural areas.  The suburb has a population of around 12,000 and is situated 18km from the CBD, removing its residents from the hectic nature of city living, but retaining the facilities that make city living appealing. 

Bassendean is a diverse suburb, in both a geographical sense and a usage sense.  The resident population of over 16,000 enjoys the Swan River and associated parklands on the Eastern side, the central Town of Bassendean, along with close proximity to the city and the domestic and international airports.
